Bird Tables
Classic open tables and covered designs. The traditional centrepiece of the British garden, welcoming the widest range of visitors.

About our bird tables
Bird tables and feeders have stood at the centre of British gardens for over a century, and the format endures because it works. An open table suits the birds that will not hang from a tube - robins, blackbirds and dunnocks feed comfortably on a flat surface - while still serving tits, finches and sparrows happy to drop in. A roof keeps the worst of the rain off the food, and a raised rim with drainage gaps stops seed blowing away or sitting in puddles. Use a table for foods that do not suit tube feeders: mealworms, suet pellets, fruit and kitchen-safe scraps like grated mild cheese. Site it in the open, two metres or so from cover, and clear uneaten food daily so it never turns sour. Our tables are pressure-treated timber built for year-round weather, on stands or for hanging. Free UK delivery on orders over £20, backed by our 100% money-back guarantee.
Bird Tables - FAQs
What food should I put on a bird table?
Seed mixes, sunflower hearts, mealworms, suet pellets and halved apples all work well. Clear anything uneaten at the end of each day so the table stays fresh and does not attract rats overnight.
Where should a bird table go?
In the open, about two metres from a hedge or shrub - close enough for a quick escape, far enough that a cat cannot ambush from cover. Avoid siting directly under branches.
Which birds use a bird table?
Almost everything. Robins, blackbirds and dunnocks favour the flat surface, while tits, finches and house sparrows visit freely. It is the most inclusive feeder format there is.
