Hanging Feeders
Feeders for branches, brackets and hooks. The classic silhouette of the British garden, in every food type.

About our hanging feeders
Bird hanging feeders are where most people start, and for good reason: hang one from a tree, a wall bracket or a feeding station and the garden changes within the week. This collection gathers every hanging design we stock - seed tubes, peanut mesh, fat ball racks, nyjer slots and wooden barn-style feeders - so you can match the food to the birds you want. Hanging suits the acrobats: tits, finches and sparrows all feed comfortably in mid-air, while what drops feeds robins and dunnocks below. Siting matters more than most people think. Choose a spot with open sightlines so birds can see cats coming, keep the feeder about two metres from dense cover, and hang it high enough that nothing can leap to it. No tree in reach? Pair any of these with our hooks, brackets and poles, which put a hanging feeder exactly where you can watch it from the kitchen. Free UK delivery over £20 and a full money-back guarantee.
Hanging Feeders - FAQs
Where should I hang a bird feeder?
Somewhere open, with a shrub or hedge a couple of metres away for a quick escape. Keep it at least head height, away from fence tops and branches that squirrels or cats could use as a launch pad.
Can I hang a feeder without a tree?
Yes - a feeder pole with a corkscrew base plants anywhere in lawn or border, and wall brackets suit patios and balconies. Both let you put the feeder where you can actually see it.
Do hanging feeders work for robins?
Robins prefer to feed low, but they benefit from hanging feeders anyway - they patrol underneath for dropped seed. For direct robin feeding, add a ground tray or a low dish feeder nearby.
